Question by bibberbrak: Can sleepwalking be caused by overdoing it with football matches?

I know of a 11 yr old boy who plays football for 2 teams and he sleepwalks every night. Could the fact that he is over active and always at football practices and playing 2 to 3 matches a week affect his sleep and cause him to sleepwalk?

I would doubt that. My brother (same age) plays for two soccer teams as well but he doesn’t sleepwalk. Sleepwalking is a mental condition. I don’t think it would be caused by soccer, unless he is dreaming he is in the middle of a soccer game.
